2XKO Illaoi Rundown

2XKO , Riot Games' 2v2 tag-team fighting game featuring League of Legends champions has recently begun its closed beta testing phase. In 2XKO's closed beta test, players can try out the upcoming fighting game on PC which currently features nine champions.

Each champion in the game is classified under a certain archetype and has their own distinct move list and playstyle. This article hopes to help players learn a champion's move list and give a general idea of a champion's playstyle.

Champion Overview

In 2XKO, Illaoi is classified as a bruiser. Based on Illaoi's in-game stat chart, she has decent range, above average power, and above average mobility. However, Illaoi's downside statistically is that she isn't a very mobile champion. Like her League of Legends counterpart, Illaoi's move list lets her summon tentacles to aid her. These tentacles help Illaoi overwhelm and pressure opponents from a variety of ranges.

Illaoi's Move List

The following is Illaoi's move list in 2XKO. This includes her Specials, Supers, Unique Moves, and Assists.

Specials

Tentacle Smash

Illaoi does a long-range strike. If this attack hits, the nearest tentacle performs a follow-up attack. Furthermore, if a tentacle is available, this move is cancellable into Prayer of Motion or Prayer in Stagnation.

Riptide

This move destroys projectiles. On hit, the nearest tentacle will perform a follow-up attack. On hit or on block, Illaoi can cancel this attack into Cross.

Cross

This move destroys projectiles. If the hit of this attack is perfectly timed with a tentacle's follow-up attack, Illaoi's opponent gets crumpled. This move is cancellable into Tentacle Smash.

Tidal Swing

Illaoi performs a long diagonal strike. If a tentacle is available, it will reposition itself for a ground bounce follow-up attack.

Serpent's Tongue

A two-hit aerial strike. If a tentacle is available, it will reposition itself to stab the opponent from below.

Prayer of Motion

Activates the nearest tentacle to strike the opponent. If tapped, the tentacle will perform a quick hit. Otherwise, if held, the opponent will get dragged into it.

Prayer in Stagnation

The tentacle that's nearest to the opponent will attempt a grab attack on them.

Guiding Hand

A forward translating attack that summons a tentacle when it hits.

Harsh Lesson

An overhead attack that summons a tentacle when it hits. Can be charged to travel further.

From The Depths

A low strike that hits close to Illaoi and a short distance away simultaneously. This move will summon a tentacle on hit. Additionally, if charged, the tentacle will track the opponent's position.

Faith in Motion

A diving two-hit strike that can cross-up. If Illaoi hits the opponent when she lands this move will summon a tentacle.

Supers

Crashing Waves

A strike that picks an opponent up and swings them around. If S1 is held, an available tentacle will be repositioned under the opponent.

Wrath of Nagakabouros

Illaoi summons two tentacles and all her tentacles grow and automatically attack for a short time. This move is cancelled if the point champion takes damage. On completion, one tentacle will return to normal size and will remain available.

Test of Spirit

An invincible start up, mid-range strike. S1 or S2 can be held to reposition an available tentacle under the opponent.

Unique Moves

Unlike the other champions in 2XKO, Illaoi currently does not have any listed unique moves.

Assists

Guiding Hand Assist

An assist version of Guiding Hand. A forward translating attack that summons a tentacle on hit.

Tentacle Smash Assist

An assist version of Tentacle Smash. A long range strike that makes the nearest tentacle perform a follow-up attack on hit.

Wrath of Nagakabouros Assist

An assist version of Wrath of Nagakabouros. Summons two tentacles, makes all tentacles grow and attack automatically for a short time. This is cancelled if the point champion takes damage. On completion, one tentacle will return to normal size and will remain available. This move is only available if the assist is KO'd.
