Capcom, Samsung Team Up Ahead of Resident Evil Requiem Release

In advance of the release of Capcom's Resident Evil Requiem on Feb. 27, Samsung Electronics America announced a joint venture with Capcom that will involve select Samsung Odyssey gaming monitor models, including the 27" Odyssey G60SF, being named the official monitor of the latest edition of Resident Evil. 

In a press release , Samsung Electronics' Jim Kiczek, Vice President, Audio, Memory, and Monitor Product Marketing, believes that the Samsung Odyssey gaming monitor models are best suited to take advantage of the intense and scary atmosphere of Resident Evil Requiem.

"Our Odyssey lineup is engineered to deliver the atmosphere, tension, and visual detail of the entire Resident Evil Requiem experience," said Kiczek. "With ultra-fast response, deep contrast, and precise color, the Odyssey monitors make every moment feel immediate. A game this rich deserves a monitor that can match the details of its world, and an Odyssey is designed to keep players fully immersed from the first scene to the last."

To honor the team-up between Samsung and Capcom, 12,500 game codes for Resident Evil Requiem are going to be given away to gamers who purchase select models of the Samsung Odyssey gaming monitors. From Feb. 25 through Aug. 23, buyers can submit proof of purchase online to receive a Steam code for the highly anticipated ninth installment of Resident Evil.

Resident Evil Requiem will be released on PlayStation ®5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games Store, and GeForce NOW.
