When does GTA 6 come out? When will Tennessee gamers be able to pre-order?
Grand Theft Auto fans in Tennessee, and across the country, are at least one step closer to the next iteration of the game.
Rockstar Games recently announced the release date for Boderlands 4 sequel, and gamers eagerly awaiting GTA VI are using that to try and narrow down when the highly anticipated game will be released. According to the video game newsgroup Game Rant, the Borderlands 4 sequel trailer was shown at the February 2025 State of Play along with a release date of Sept. 23, 2025. The news caused a lot of discussion in the gaming community about when Grand Theft Auto VI would be released.
Here's a look at when the game could be released and when to be on the look out to preorder.
GTA 6 fans speculate possible release date
The eighth installment of the series was first announced in 2023, with a release date announced for 2025. It was narrowed down further during a Take-Two Interactive quarterly earning call to Fall 2025. The consensus between game writers and fans is that November could be the possible launch date so the Boderlands 4 sequel and Grand Theft Auto 6 don't overlap too much, according to reports from GameRant.

Can I pre-order GTA VI now?
Rumors and headlines began to pop up in the gaming circles about pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto 6 going live, but that's not entirely true.
There is a store in Malaysia that is taking "pre-sale orders," reports video game new site Gaming Bible.
Since Rockstar Games has yet to announce an official release date for the game, pre-order sales are not available in America just yet.
