How to get dual element monsties in Monster Hunter Stories 3

GHENT, WV (WVNS) – You may already be aware that in the Monster Hunter franchise monsters and monsties are assigned an element. For example, tobi-kadachi normally has thunder attributes but a dual element tobi-kadachi might be thunder and ice.

In Monster Hunter Stories 3, you can get dual element monsties thanks to habitat restoration. Essentially, you find eggs for the monstie you want a dual element of and release them into the appropriate habitat associated with the element you want. For example, if you want that ice tobi-kadachi you'll want to gather eggs, hatch a lot of tobi-kadachi, release them into an ice area, and get tobi-kadachi eggs from that ice area after it has an ecosystem rank of S. Eventually, after hatching a few eggs you'll get the one you want.

Of note is that the coloration of the monsters will also change when you change its element so keep that in mind as you move on. In your monsterpedia you can cycle through how each elemental version of a monster looks so feel free to peruse before you make your choice.
