Eight years later, Elder Scrolls 6 finally has an official title, but still no release date anywhere in sight

As part of Bethesda's 40th anniversary celebration, we finally have some concrete news to deliver on The Elder Scrolls.
At the end of the video below, Bethesda confirmed rumored news that the new game's full title is The Elder Scrolls 6: Sentinel . And this is 15 years since The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, and over eight years since the game was originally announced at E3. Yeah, it's been so long that E3 still existed back then.
Surely this means that the game's development is full steam ahead now, right? I sure would hope so. Now that Starfield is behind them (and us), we can fully embrace TES6 and look forward to it soon. Or maybe not.
"Thank you for 40 years of shared memories," Bethesda said on Twitter/X . "We can't wait to make even more together with The Elder Scrolls 6: Sentinel . Development continues, and while it'll be some time before we're ready to share more, it feels great to finally reveal the name and location with you."
Well, there you have it. I genuinely don't know what to think or feel at the moment. Excitement? Indifference? Tiredness? I do know that I think that this game is example number one that should be given when it comes to titles being announced a bit too prematurely. Players have had expectations for years about hearing more, and so far we have two short video clips and a title confirmation in a little under a decade.
" SENTINEL is the next chapter of The Elder Scrolls ," Xbox CEO Asha Sharma said. "An incredible way for Bethesda to mark 40 years of building worlds that speak to millions of players across generations. Congratulations to the team, past and present."
It's safe to say that this game will not be coming to Xbox Series X|S, and is destined for Project Helix or even beyond. Will it be a console-exclusive, or available on all platforms? We may find out in 2030 if we are lucky.
