Microsoft Plans on Raising Xbox Prices in the U.S., Again

Microsoft announced its plans yesterday for yet another price hike on its Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles. The price change, set to take effect on October 3rd, is the second time this year that Microsoft has changed the console's pricing. Back in May, Microsoft had updated the price for the consoles worldwide, citing "market conditions" as the reason. This time, however, the price change will only affect customers in the United States.

While the price change still won't take effect until October 3rd, the news is still disappointing nonetheless. "Macroeconomic environment" sounds like a roundabout way of saying tariff, which makes their decision sting even more since the previous increase was likely for similar reasons. "Careful considerations" are likely not enough to keep fans and prospective buyers from being disappointed in Microsoft's decision, though.
