Nintendo fans are eagerly awaiting the release of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for the Nintendo Switch 2. While a recent Nintendo Direct presentation showcased the newly revitalized gameplay, it didn't have a good look at the game's main antagonist, Ganondorf. But a new video shared on Nintendo's mobile app gives a new look at the big baddie of the new Zelda remake.

Originally shared on the Nintendo Today! app for mobile devices, and shared across social media shortly after, a new video clip gives the best look at Ganondorf to date. Part of the video is taken from a short cutscene during a key point of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time , where Link comes face-to-face with the Gerudo man. Ganondorf sits atop his horse looking down at Link menacingly, as lighting strikes behind him.

The latter part of the video shared by Nintendo features Ganondorf riding off surrounded by flames. The character speaking in the clip is the Great Deku Tree, telling Link about the great evil that has appeared. It's a short clip from what is a big story, but it's a great tease for what will be an epic adventure for fans of The Legend of Zelda series .

On the post for the Nintendo Today! app, a short description about Ganondorf is given. "A man from the Gerudo, a tribe in which men are said to be born only once in a hundred years. He harbors a grand ambition to obtain the Triforce, a sacred relic rumored to grant the wish of any individual who touches it."

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the next major release for the series, remaking one of the most popular entries in the Zelda timeline. While the story of the game is the same, the entire experience is given a graphical overhaul, along with minor changes to the gameplay. The game is set to release on November 5, 2026 for the Nintendo Switch 2.
