No ski pass needed: 'Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders' for Xbox and PC

Berlin (dpa) — The mountains are calling: In "Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders" you can plow through the powder on skis either alone or with up to seven other players. From beautiful views to breathtaking races, the game has a lot to offer.

Whether it's glittering deep snow or icy mountain lakes, the game provides spectacular landscapes for winter sports enthusiasts to explore.

The focus of the game is of course the skiing experience, which takes players off the groomed slopes, through forests and along the edge of lakes.

The controls are not unnecessarily complicated and are quickly learned. It's often worth leaving what may be the most obvious path because there are plenty of shortcuts out there.

If you find them, it will be easier to set new record times and you'll also be rewarded with new backcountry routes at the end.

With cliff jumps and backflips, free-ski fans also get their money's worth. New tricks for your private repertoire, fresh equipment, and new outfits await if you collect enough points in multiplayer mode.

And if you want to take it slower now and then, you can go into "Zen" mode to practice certain slopes with no time limits or to simply enjoy the winter landscape even more.

"Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders" is available for around €25/$25 for PCs and the Xbox Series X/S. It's also included in Xbox Game Pass subscriptions.
