PlayStation Network back online; offering users 5 days of free service
After being down for around 20 hours, the PlayStation Network is back online.
Gamers took to X around 2:30 p.m. Saturday to proclaim: "OMG PLAYSTATION IS BACK FOR ME !!!!"
A user in North Jersey was able to log in without issue as well.
Fortnite posted on X at 2:41 p.m.: "We're seeing players able to log-in and play again on PlayStation platforms, but not all game services may be back online."
At 6:58 p.m., PlayStation finally posted: "PSN has been restored. You should be able to access online features without any problems now. For more details: https://status.playstation.com Sorry for the inconvenience!"
PlayStation giving users 5 days free
Following the distruption in service, PlayStation announced at 12:07 a.m. on social media: "Network services have fully recovered from an operational issue. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank the community for their patience. All PlayStation Plus members will automatically receive an additional 5 days of service."
