Should You Pull For SSR Riko Kashimoto And SSR Rice Shower In Umamusume: Pretty Derby?d
Umamusume: Pretty Derby just revealed two new support cards, announced on the game's official X account on November 5. SSR Riko Kashimoto and SSR Rice Shower will debut together in a solo scout banner starting November 6 (UTC). Both cards come with valuable Scenario Links for the current Unity Cup scenario , making them tempting additions for trainers. Let's take a closer look at what these cards offer — and whether they're worth pulling for.
SSR Riko Kashimoto Skills And Stats
SSR Riko Stats and SkillsCygames, Inc.
SSR Riko is a Friendship-type support card tailor-made for the Unity Cup scenario. Similar to SSR Tazuna , Riko's events increase mood during a career and grant Energy as well as varying amounts of Stamina and Guts. These stat bonuses are boosted in Unity Cup, making her a powerhouse for fixing endurance issues in this specific scenario.
Riko Event Skills

Slightly increase velocity when passing another runner mid-race. |
| Maverick ○ |
Moderately increase performance when no other runners are using the same strategy. |
| Lone Wolf |

SSR Rice Shower Skills And Stats
SSR Rice Shower Stats and SkillsCygames, Inc.
SSR Rice Shower is a Power-type support card that grants the highly desirable recovery skill, Swinging Maestro. She also grants the recovery skill, Cooldown, as a Scenario Link bonus in Unity Cup. Her stats at base uncap are nothing special, but they grow exponentially stronger once she reaches level 45 (3LB) and above.

Support Card Analysis
SSR Riko
It's difficult to understate Riko's ability to provide Energy, Stamina, and Guts throughout a Unity Cup career. The R version of her card offers the same events as the SSR version, and these events combined provide so much benefit that it's often better to include the lower-rarity card than to go without her at all.
Riko loses much of its value when the successor to Unity Cup arrives. This means that maxing out R Riko offers more value to free-to-play and low spenders, especially with the possibility of an SSR Kitasan Black rerun in the future.
For players who want to compete at the highest level, maxing out SSR Riko is mandatory. The card lets you use a greedier deck for maximizing Speed and Power, while possessing just enough Stamina to survive Mile and Medium races.
SSR Rice Shower
Rice Shower prefers to be maxed out to see its true potential. At MLB, she grants +15% Training Effectiveness, +1 bonus to Stamina and Power on training, as well as +50 Specialty Priority. Combined with the two recovery skills from her events, Rice is practically a Power card and a pseudo-Stamina card at the same time.
Unfortunately, her performance at 2LB and below is not remarkable. She lacks Mood Effect and decent Race Bonus at low investments, making SSR Super Creek a wiser choice for obtaining Swinging Maestro. Other Power cards also outpace her in pure stat bonuses, such as SSR Vodka and SSR El Condor Pasa.
Rating
SSR Riko Kashimoto - 5/5
R Riko Kashimoto (maxed) - 4.5/5
SSR Rice Shower (maxed) - 4.5/5
SSR Rice Shower (low investment) - 2.5/5
Players can receive 100 free pulls during the Half-Anniversary event, offering plenty of chances to get multiple copies of R Riko and boost performance in the new scenario. If you failed to obtain Riko, you could rent a friend's SSR Riko — though that means missing the chance to borrow other useful cards. Alternatively, renting an SSR Rice Shower is excellent for picking up Swinging Maestro and Cooldown if Riko is already in your deck.
