Release Date for 007 First Light Confirmed
As fans eagerly await news about the future of 007 in the world of film, they can take solace in knowing that a new game in the world of James Bond is set to come out soon. 007 First Light is a new James Bond adventure from IO Interactive, the developer behind The Hitman franchise.
The game has mostly been shrouded in secrecy, but that recently changed thanks to PlayStation's most recent 2025 State of Play. During the event, a gameplay trailer for the 007 First Light dropped.
It's safe to say that the game won't be light on action based on this trailer. There are gun fights, car chases, explosions and James Bond is even skydiving.
Stealth is a big part of the 007 franchise, and it would stand to reason that the developer behind Hitman would lean into stealth mechanics, but it looks like they're favoring a more action-heavy approach this time around.
The most exciting 007 First Light news to be revealed is that we finally have a release date. The game is set to come out on March 27, 2026. That's not too long a wait.
It has been a long time since we've gotten a great 007 game, so if IO Interactive pulls this off, they're going to rake in some serious dough.
