Sony Reveals FlexStrike, a New Wireless Joystick for PlayStation 5 and PC

Sony has officially revealed its first fight stick for PlayStation 5 and PC. Called FlexStrike, the controller will launch in 2026 and will be shown publicly for the first time at the Fight Stick Museum and Arc System Works booth during EVO 2025, which takes place August 1-3 in Las Vegas.

FlexStrike works with both PlayStation 5 and PC, connecting via USB-C or PlayStation Link, Sony's low-latency wireless technology. The device has mechanical switch buttons and includes tool-free swappable restrictor gates. You can choose from square, circle, and octagon shapes, which are stored in compartments built into the controller. A USB-C adapter is also included, as is a sling case for the controller and its accessories.

FlexStrike supports simultaneous PlayStation Link Audio, meaning users can connect their controller and Sony's wireless audio devices using one USB adapter. It also supports two FlexStrike controllers on one adapter for local multiplayer or co-op gameplay.

The controller has DualSense features and includes a switch for lever mode and a lock button to prevent accidental inputs. Players can keep their DualSense controllers connected for menu navigation. Just like DualSense controllers, pressing the PlayStation button on the FlexStrike also wakes the synced PlayStation 5 console when connected.
