Venom Game Rumored to Be Coming From Spider-Man Dev

After years of speculation, Insomniac's Wolverine game finally got some updates this year. A project that looked dead now has new life.

In fact, Insomniac must feel confident about the game, as it appears they plan to make more in the Marvel universe. According to Mp1st , Wolverine is supposed to come out next year, and Insomniac is already hard at work on a game centering on Venom.

"The most important information we received from our main source is that Wolverine is still on track for a 2026 release, and Venom has been in active development. While we haven't been able to determine how advanced the Venom project is, if we assume Wolverine remains the priority, it's likely that the game is still in pre-production."

Venom has long been known as a Spider-Man villain, but he's become a popular character in his own right thanks to the Tom Hardy films. A Venom game would likely look similar to a Spider-Man game, but potentially much more violent and rated M.

A Venom game isn't a bad idea. He's essentially Spider-Man, but way more intimidating. Insomniac has crushed it with their Spider-Man games, so it's fair to assume they could do a great job with Venom as a character.
