Warzone Mobile is officially shutting down this spring

Activision has confirmed in a support blog that servers for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will officially shut down on April 17, 2026.
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile was removed from app stores in May of 2025, but the servers have previously remained online for those who already the game installed to continue playing. The shutdown is the final step to the Warzone Mobile's sunset, and the game will no longer be available to play.
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile officially launched on March 21, 2024, and was the first Call of Duty platform to revive the battle royale's popular Verdansk and Rebirth Island maps following the removal of the initial console and PC edition of Call of Duty: Warzone .
Warzone Mobile was intended to bring an authentic battle royale experience to mobile platforms, while offering cross-progression with Sledgehammer Games' Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2023) and cross-platform support between console, PC, and mobile.
Activision had organized a multi-studio mobile development organization in order to get Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile off the ground — including teams from Activision Shanghai Studio, Beenox, Digital Legends, and Solid State Studios.

Activision confirmed that the decision to sunset Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is due to its failure to resonate with Call of Duty's mobile-first player base to the same degree that its PC and console counterpart was able to.
Because Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile supported cross-platform progression, players who signed into the soon-defunct battle royale with an Activision account will still be able to access that account on other Activision products, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 , Call of Duty: Warzone , and Call of Duty: Mobile .
However, Call of Duty Points (or COD Points, as they are more commonly known) purchased for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will not transfer to other platforms. Activision has advised that players who have COD Points lingering on their Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile account should redeem those points for operators and weapons before servers go offline.

It's not a total wash for Call of Duty fans who are on mobile and still want a free-to-play experience. Call of Duty: Mobile will remain online, and continues to receive regular updates and new content. The free-to-play mobile COD title features Battle Royale, Multiplayer, Zombies, and DMZ: Recon modes with support for Battle Passes, events, and Ranked Play.
