Any Nintendo fan knows how rarely it puts its first-party titles on sale, unless you count its now-defunct Game Voucher deal as one (and to be fair, it is a pretty good deal). That's why we're mega-impressed by the Spring Video Game Sale going on at Woot, which features major games for all platforms--including Nintendo first-party games that rarely go on sale like The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening , Mario Kart 8 Deluxe , and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond --alongside controllers from Hori and 8BitDo, arcade fight sticks, keyboards, headphones, and more. Even better, you can get an extra 20% discount (up to $50 maximum) by using the code GAMER20at checkout. This extra discount code expires after April 28, but the sale itself runs until May 5, so even if you can't use the code, it's still worth checking out all the deals on offer.

So if you see something you want, don't sleep on it. Note that since Woot is an Amazon-owned company, Amazon Prime members can get free standard shipping on all orders.

Nintendo Switch Game Deals

There are quite a few physical Nintendo Switch games on sale at Woot, including The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom for Nintendo Switch, which is down to $47 (was $60). This delightful adventure has all the charm you know and love from The Legend of Zelda series, but finally lets you step into Zelda's boots. Originally released in 2024, Zelda goes on a mission to save Link after he gets sucked into a mysterious rift and teams up with a mysterious creature named Tri to get the job done.

While Echoes of Wisdom only saw a physical release on the original Nintendo Switch, it's also playable on Switch 2 and there's even a free performance update patch that enhances the graphics when playing on Nintendo's newest console. In fact, that's true of many of the Switch games included in the sale, like The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening and Pokemon Scarlet . Others, like Super Mario Bros. Wonder , Pokemon Legends: Z-A , and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond have paid Switch 2 upgrades available, usually for $5 to $20 apiece, which add premium features like high-end graphical improvements, new content, expanded control options, and more. So, if you have a Switch 2, you can purchase one of these discounted copies and play them right out of the box thanks to the system's backward compatibility. And if you want to upgrade to the Switch 2 version, you can grab the premium digital upgrade from the eShop, which will save you quite a bit compared to buying the Switch 2 editions. We've made sure to note if a game in the sale has a Switch 2 upgrade in the list below.

PS5 and Xbox Game Deals

Woot's sale is stacked with Nintendo Switch game deals, but PS5 and Xbox gamers can save on plenty of physical releases, too. PS5 owners will want to check out the many premium edition games seeing big discounts, including the Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Collector's Edition that's down to $80 (normally $200), as well as the Borderlands 4 Super Deluxe Edition on sale for $60 (was $130), and the Code Vein II: Ultimate Edition that's down to $60 (was $100). There are of course deals on regular-priced games like Sonic x Shadow Generations for $14 (was $50) and Digimon Story Time Stranger for $40 (was $70).

There are admittedly fewer Xbox Series X games in the sale, but you can still save on some stellar titles like Metaphor: ReFantazio Launch Edition for just $18 (was $70). This is an absolutely gonzo RPG from the folks behind the beloved Persona series. Thanks to character designer Shigenori Soejima's art and composer Shoji Meguro's score, Metaphor manages to feel familiar and strikingly different at the same time. Originally released in October 2024, it went on to win a slate of awards, including BAFTA's Narrative award and GameSpot's Game of the Yea r. If you're an RPG fan and didn't get around to this one, this is a can't-miss deal for one of the best ones of the last few years. And if you've already seen that epic through to its conclusion, you could instead grab another recent Atlus RPG release, Raidou Remastered - The Mystery of the Soulless Army Launch Edition , which is on sale for $25 (was $50). Or if you're looking for a more intense open-world shooter experience, then check out Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl while it's down to $20 (was $60).

You'll find a few more of our favorite PS5 and Xbox Series X game deals in Woot's sale listed below.

Controller Deals

PowerA's Advantage Wireless Controller is well worth its regular $70 price point, but at $35, it's an absolute steal (and if you buy it before April 29, it's only $30 with the extra checkout code). It's available in two designs: a bright pink with lavender buttons and an adorably puffy Kirby framed by white clouds, or a red with magenta buttons and Mario faves in the middle, including Bowser, Peach, and the two famed Italian plumbers. In addition to the great packaging, these controllers feature Hall Effect Modules to eliminate stick drift, mappable Advanced Gaming Buttons, and a C button to activate GameChat features. It's compatible with the full Nintendo Switch family, including the original Switch, Switch Lite, Switch OLED, and Switch 2. There are plenty of other great controllers in Woot's sale, and we've highlighted a few here:

Arcade Sticks & Fighting Game Controllers

If you're looking for a leverless option, 8BitDo's excellent, lightweight Al-Button Arcade Controller is an excellent pick. There are three versions on sale: the standard model compatible with Switch, Switch 2, and PC which is down to $50 (normally $90); the Signature Edition for Switch, Switch 2, and PC that's down to $60 (was $91); and an Xbox-compatible version that's on sale for $55 (was $100). All models feature programmable buttons with fast mapping, an independent control panel, replaceable lock caps, and a 3.5mm audio jack. If you're looking for a PS5-compatible model, Razer's Kitsune All-Button Arcade Controller is discounted to $140 (was $300). Meanwhile, if you prefer a gamepad-style option, HORI's Wireless Fighting Commander OCTA Pro FightPad--which looks like a standard controller, but swaps the right thumbstick for a six-button layout perfect for fighting games--is down to $60 (was $110).

Retro Gaming Tech

Woot's sale has plenty of other gaming accessories and hardware deals, including a massive price cut to the C64 Mini console. For those of you born in the '70s or '80s, your early video game memories may include the Commodore 64. Designed to be an affordable home computer, it also offered some of the most advanced video games of its time, including classics like Maniac Mansion, Last Ninja 2, and Sid Meier's Pirates. Whether you're curious about trying it out or want to relive those glorious early gaming days, the C64 Mini is a great way to do it. Normally $120, you can save $50 on it during Woot's sale. It comes with a controller and 25 preloaded games, and you can play in original 4:3 or pixel perfect aspect ratios. CRT Mode is also an option.

A few other retro-throwback devices are also on sale, including several products from My Arcade, like the Atari Gamestation Go handheld--which features a 7-inch display and comes with over 200 preloaded classic games--for $120 (was $180). Or, if you're looking for a way to play your older consoles on newer TVs, the mClassic Retro Edition is on sale for $40 (was $100). The upscaler dongle lets you play retro devices like the Nintendo GameCube, PlayStation 2, and more on modern displays at up to 1440 resolution and 60fps.
