The Pixel 11 Pro XL might be Google’s best phone yet, and now it’s free at Verizon

Black Friday is still weeks away, but you don't need to wait to score an epic Google Pixel 11 deal.

For a limited time, Verizon will give you the XL version of thePixel 11 Profor free when you add a line with the Unlimited Plus or Unlimited Ultimate plan on the carrier's site, no trade-in required.

Sure, it may not be as straightforward as simply buying the flagship unlocked, but if you don't mind a bit of fine print, this is one of the best Android phone deals on the web today.

Is the Google Pixel 11 Pro XL worth the cost?

Starting at $1,299.99 for the 256GB configuration, the Pixel 11 Pro XL is essentially Google's answer to the premiumSamsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The XL boasts a generous 6.8-inch OLED display with the new HiLight LED array around the camera bar, while under the hood you get a powerful Tensor G6 chipset, 12GB of RAM, and seven years of guaranteed OS and security upgrades.

Just like other Google phones, thePixel 11 Pro XL's camerais where the flagship really shines. Besides all the handy AI features that newer Google devices are known for, the XL boasts a new main camera sensor and an upgraded telephoto lens.

Charging speeds are also faster with the Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Google has even shaved off a bit of the phone's thickness and weight compared to its predecessor, the Pixel 10 Pro XL.

So what's the catch?

As I mentioned above, you'll need to add a line with Verizon's Unlimited Plus or Unlimited Ultimate plans to receive the full savings. Fortunately, no trade-in is necessary, and both data plans come with unlimited talk, text, and data on the carrier's legendary 5G Ultra Wideband network.

You'll also get some international benefits, premium mobile hotspot data, and the ability to mix-and-match additional perks using Verizon's myPlan structure.

Google has also received some flak from users who find the 2026 model iterative compared to previous generations, and the company seems to have chosen careful refinement over transformation with the Pixel 11 Pro XL.

For this reason alone, I wouldn't recommend paying full price for the flagship, but if you're looking for a new mobile provider anyway, now's your chance to get a powerful Pixel device and one of the industry's best unlimited plans in one fell swoop.
