Luxury Cruise Line Shares Expanded World Cruise Choices

Azamara Cruises has announced its 2029 World Cruise Collection, introducing a new level of flexibility for vacationers planning an extended global voyage. Rather than restricting passengers to a single massive sailing, the small-ship cruise line is offering three distinct itinerary lengths ranging from 139 to 195 nights.

For United States travelers, the deployment offers highly convenient Pacific coast departures out of San Diego, allowing passengers to embark on a multi-continent journey without requiring a long-haul international flight to start their vacation.

The cruise line is heavily prioritizing its signature destination immersion strategy, ensuring that 65 percent of the flagship voyage is spent docked in port rather than sailing at sea. The itineraries place a special focus on in-depth exploration of the South Pacific and Baltic regions.

"We're incredibly proud of the 2029 World Cruise Collection and the time we've built into each leg of the journey for guests to truly connect with the places they visit," said Michael Pawlus, Head of Itinerary Planning at Azamara Cruises. "We believe our guests are really going to love what we've created, and we're excited to give them a closer look at the itineraries and reveal all the details in the weeks ahead."

Three Distinct Global Itineraries

The 2029 collection offers three varied routes , allowing passengers to select the time commitment and regional focus that best fits their personal travel goals:

  • The 195-Night Flagship Voyage:Sailing from San Diego to Copenhagen aboard the Azamara Quest, this route crosses five continents and visits 126 ports across 40 countries. Bookings for this flagship option open on September 23, 2026.

  • The 179-Night London Route:Also departing from San Diego, this slightly abbreviated journey crosses five continents and features 12 maiden ports before concluding in London. Bookings open on October 14, 2026.

  • The 139-Night Sydney Departure:Sailing from Australia to Copenhagen, this route features four maiden ports and 43 late-night departures. Bookings open on October 14, 2026.

Extended Port Stays and Premium Inclusions

A major selling point for the 2029 collection is the unprecedented amount of time passengers will spend ashore after dark.

The flagship 195-night journey includes 60 late-night departures and 16 full overnight stays. This unique scheduling allows guests to experience local nightlife, enjoy leisurely evening dining ashore, and explore popular ports after daytime excursion crowds have departed.

Throughout the voyage, passengers will receive the cruise line's standard premium amenities designed to create an intimate hotel experience at sea. The upfront fare covers a variety of dining venues, 24-hour room service, alcoholic beverages available all day and night, standard tips and gratuities, exclusive cultural events, and access to unlimited self-service laundry facilities. Additional itinerary details, exclusive port events, and pricing will be released alongside the initial booking window in late September.
