Looking for the best beach in America to take it all off? According to data from Hoppa , an online platform for airport transfers and shuttles, nude beaches —designated public places where you can remove your clothing legally—are popular among travelers. Online searches for clothing-optional beaches average almost a quarter million per month.

But not all nude beaches are created equal. In July, Hoppa analyzed Google search data and Tripadvisor reviews to uncover (pun intended) the most popular nude beach in the country, and one California destination came out on top.

Baker Beach in San Francisco took the No. 1 spot for best nude beach in the U.S. thanks to 1.1 million online searches within the last 12 months, and a 4.5 out of five Tripadvisor rating. Located within the Presidio of San Francisco, Baker Beach hugs South Bay and has stunning views of the famous Golden Gate Bridge , just north of the park. Visitors can swim, sunbathe, and enjoy scenic strolls, but if you're going to do it in your birthday suit, make sure you stay on the northern side of the beach—the southern part isn't clothing-optional.

In second place was Haulover Beach in Miami, with 866,000 Google searches over the past year, and a 4.5 out of five Tripadvisor rating. According to Hoppa, "the beach has become one of the country's most established clothing-optional destinations, attracting visitors from across the U.S. and beyond." It's worth noting that only the northern third, between lifeguard towers 12 and 16, is clothing-optional, per Miami Dade County . But reviewers on Tripadvisor shared that the nude area is marked clearly by signage, so you'll know exactly where you're allowed to strip down.

In third was Black's Beach in San Diego. "Renowned for its dramatic cliffs and expansive coastline, it has long been a favorite among naturists on the West Coast," said the Hoppa team in its findings. With a Tripadvisor score of 4.4 out of five, the beach generated 817,000 Google searches over the past 12 months.

Only three other beaches in the top 10 had higher Tripadvisor ratings than Baker Beach and Haulover Beach. Two were in Hawaii: Secret Beach (or Kauapea Beach) on Kauai, and Red Sand Beach on Maui. However, keep in mind that public nudity is illegal in Hawaii, and neither of these beaches is formally clothing-optional, so visitors aren't exempt from law enforcement if they do go nude.

Here's the full list of the 10 most popular clothing-optional beaches in the U.S.
