Elliott previously starred in Taylor Sheridan's acclaimed limited series 1883 — which is considered by some to be the writer-producer's finest TV effort.
Landman is co-created by Christian Wallace and is currently filming its second season in Texas.
The second season also stars Billy Bob Thornton (who received a Golden Globe nomination for his performance during the first season), Demi Moore ( who has an elevated role in season two), Andy Garcia, Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, James Jordan and Colm Feore.
There is no description yet on the role that Elliott will play. While there's no premiere date yet announced, given the production timing, a return of Landman before the end of the year is quite possible.
Landman ranked as a top 10 SVOD original series in the fourth quarter of last year alongside two other Paramount+ Sheridan dramas, Tulsa King and Lioness . The show ranked as the most watched global premiere and finale of any series in Paramount+ history and earned Thornton a Golden Globe nomination.
Landman is "set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas and is a modern-day tale of fortune-seeking in the world of oil rigs. Based on the notable 11-part podcast Boomtown from Imperative Entertainment and Texas Monthly , the series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it's reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics."
Sheridan's Paramount+ slate includes 1923, 1883, Lioness, Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King and Lawmen: Bass Reeves , with his former flagship series Yellowstone streaming on Peacock.
