UPDATED:Peacock has released the official trailer for Long Bright River , its upcoming suspense thriller series based on Liz Moore’s bestseller. Amanda Seyfried stars as Mickey, a Philly cop on patrol in a neighborhood hit hard by the opioid crisis who searches for her sister, an addict who has gone missing.
“Over the past several days, three females have been found dead,” a voiceover is heard in the trailer. “There’s a killer on the loose, Mickey. I’m worried about you,” says Nicholas Pinnock’s Truman Dawes.

PREVIOUS, Jan. 28:Peacock has slotted Thursday, March 13 for the premiere of Long Bright River , its upcoming suspense thriller series based on Liz Moore’s bestseller, starring and executive produced by Amanda Seyfried. The streamer also released several first-look photos which you can see above and below.
Long Bright River tells the story of Mickey (Seyfried), a police officer who patrols a Philadelphia neighborhood hard-hit by the opioid crisis. When a series of murders begins in the neighborhood, Mickey realizes that her personal history might be related to the case.
Nicholas Pinnock, Ashleigh Cummings, Callum Vinson, and John Doman also star. Recurring cast includes Dash Mihok, Britne Oldford, Matthew Del Negro, Harriet Sansom Harris, Patch Darragh, and Perry Mattfeld.
Toscano and Liz Moore are writing and exec producing, with Toscano serving as showrunner and director. Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty and Amanda Lewis exec produce for Original Film, along with Amy Pascal for Pascal Pictures, Seyfried, and Russell Rothberg. Hagar Ben-Asher is directing and exec producing the first and fifth episodes of the series which hails from Sony Pictures Television and UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group.
