Megyn Kelly Condemns ‘Euphoria,’ Says Scene Featuring Sydney Sweeney ‘Sexualizing Infancy’ Is ‘Sick’
- Megyn Kelly criticized the HBO Max series Euphoria for allegedly sexualizing infancy and exploiting actors in explicit scenes.
It's safe to say that Megyn Kellyis not a fan of Euphoria .
After the highly anticipated third season of the HBO Max series finally debuted following a four-year hiatus, the conservative political commentator, 55, shared her thoughts — and seemed to be particularly offended by Sydney Sweeney's portrayal of Cassie.
During the Tuesday, April 14, episode of The Megyn Kelly Show , the opinionated podcast host prefaced that she has "never seen" the critically acclaimed TV drama about the struggles of a teenage drug addict ( Zendaya, who won the Emmy Award twice for her performance as Rue).
The characters have grown into adults in the third season — set five years later — and Sweeney's Cassie is now exploring the world of adult content as an erotic influencer.
"I guess she's going to become a social media influencer, and she's going to be like an OnlyFans actress," Kelly told viewers before sharing a photo from the trailer of Cassie taking explicit photos dressed as a baby.
"She's in a baby's outfit. She's sucking on a binky," said Kelly. "And her legs are completely spread."
"This is sexualizing infancy," Kelly continued. "This is sick."

The podcast host said that she "can't believe" Sydney, 28, "agreed to this, frankly," adding: "There's also a picture of her dressed as a dog being led around on a leash."
Kelly then called Euphoria director Sam Levinson"sick" as well and accused him of exploiting the actors involved in his projects by allegedly adding in gratuitous nudity.
Kelly — who was previously slammed for appearing to downplay Jeffrey Epstein 's pedophilia by saying that "there's a difference between a 15-year-old and a 5-year-old" — said that Euphoria appeared to be airing the "most disgusting crime imaginable on earth."
Sweeney previously spoke about Cassie's storyline in this season, telling Entertainment Tonight that her character is "crazy."
"She will do anything and at all costs to be famous this season," the Anyone But You actress continued. "And she makes a lot of very wild, interesting choices. In true Cassie fashion, she will not disappoint . That's for sure!"
"Cassie has been such a big part of my life," Sweeney added.
