Weill Center reveals full holiday lineup featuring The Grinch, The Nutcracker, movies & more

SHEBOYGAN – Weill Center for the Performing Arts , 826 N. Eighth St., has a busy lineup of holiday events slated. Here's what's coming.
'The Grinch,' Nov. 22-23
The season starts with "The Grinch," presented by Warped Dance Company, with performances Nov. 22-23.
The aerial dance training facility brings this classic holiday favorite to life. The performance combines dance, aerial and acrobatics.
Backstage Pass: Frozen & Friends Dance Party, Nov. 30
Immerse yourself in a wintery wonderland at Backstage Pass: Frozen & Friends Dance Party.
The Weill Center invites kids of all ages to sing along with Elsa as she performs favorites from "Frozen" and other classic films.
The event takes place Nov. 30 on the stage and is complete with holiday treats and activities.
Backstage Pass: Holiday Pops, Nov. 30
Also Nov. 30, guests can take a seat on the stage with the artists for Backstage Pass: Holiday Pops.
Milwaukee singer/songwriter Jenny Thiel and a three-piece band will perform Christmas tunes and special arrangements, all backstage at the Weill Center.
VIP tables are available for patrons older than 21.
'Gremlins' Dec. 1 & 'It's a Wonderful Life' Dec. 20
The Weill Center's movie series continues with a showing of non-traditional Christmas classic "Gremlins" (1984) prior to the 32nd annual Holiday Parade Dec. 1.
Then, in the spirit of the Weill Center's history as a movie house, there will be a showing of "It's a Wonderful Life" Dec. 20. The Weill's historic organ will play holiday tunes prior to the showing.
Popcorn, candy, and beverages are available at the shows.
'The Nutcracker,' Dec. 7-8
Local ballet studio Brittany's School of Dance returns with three performances of Tchaikovsky's traditional holiday ballet, "The Nutcracker."
The production features a Christmas party, a battle between life-size mice and toy soldiers, and a magical journey through the snow into the fantasy land of sweets.
Patrons can attend any of the three showtimes Dec. 7 and 8.
Handel's Messiah, Dec. 14
The Sheboygan Symphony Chorus will present Handel's Messiah at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 14.
Messiah has been performed somewhere in the world every year since its premiere in 1741.
The Sheboygan Symphony Chorus celebrates its 30th season with this timeless masterpiece. Join in during the Hallelujah chorus. Sheet music will be provided for audience participation.
Sons of Serendip, Dec. 15
"America's Got Talent" finalists and billboard-charting classical-crossover quartet Sons of Serendip take the stage Dec. 15.
The four-piece will perform its ethereal and emotional interpretations of a variety of holiday classics accompanied by storytelling and crowd participation.
'Holiday Dreams, A Spectacular Holiday Cirque!,' Dec. 28
Direct from Las Vegas, the Weill Center will present "Holiday Dreams, A Spectacular Holiday Cirque!"
The groundbreaking show incorporates acrobats, aerialists, daredevils, holograms, lasers and more.
Two performances are slated Dec. 28.
