Foster Dog and Foster Dad Squabble Over Pizza, and It's Actually Heartwarming
- Labubu, a foster dog staying with animal activist Isabel Klee, got upset over not being given a slice of pizza by his foster dad.
Anyone who has fostered an animal before knows that the first days after bringing them home are full of unknowns. Some foster pets open up immediately to their temporary families, while others take some time to come out of their shells. Depending on the situation they come from, it can be a long and anxious process for everyone involved. Although we know that this largely depends on the animal and their previous training, being patient and careful with them is key to helping them succeed in foster homes and, eventually, their permanent homes.
Well, for one foster dog, this was sort of the case. While the foster placement started like normal, somewhat cuddly and quiet, it quickly turned into a battle with their new foster dad. The problem? Pizza .

While most of us can agree that pizza is well worth getting into a fight over, this particular battle meant so much more to the foster dog. Currently staying with well-known animal activist Isabel Klee, Labubu (amazing name) came into their home as a stray . At first, Labubu was quiet and polite, settling into his temporary home as well as he could.

This quietness lasted until the family had pizza for dinner, then things got a bit tense. In the video shared to social media, the pup took major offense to his new foster dad holding a slice of pizza. While it might seem odd at first, it was clear by the end that Labubu was simply upset because his foster dad wasn't sharing the pizza. (A valid reason to get mad at someone, honestly.)
At the end of the video, Labubu got his piece of pizza and seemed to go back to his chill self. Although the idea that a dog could get mad over a slice of pizza is hilarious, many viewers pointed out that the real reason was probably much more heartbreaking.
"I think your pizza is the first thing that connects this poor abandoned baby to his past life," suggested one viewer. Another commenter added, "Somebody fed him pizza. He is literally saying that's what I eat right there. That's what I eat."
While it's possible this pup remembered pizza from his previous life, we are glad to know he is safe and well cared for now.
