We've rounded up five things happening from Nov. 14 to 16 to help you plan your weekend. Visit a museum that actually lets you play with exhibits, or see a cozy tree lighting ceremony. Whatever your preference, the list below can help your weekend plans.

Enjoy a staple German restaurant
As a part of MassLive's Classic Mass. Restaurants series highlighting some of the state's most iconic food destinations, The Student Prince is a staple to check out for traditional German food in Western Massachusetts.
For more than 90 years, the business has been serving up classics such as the offerings in the German Sampler: smoked pork chop, bratwurst, goulash, red cabbage and pan-fried potatoes.
It also offers a "create your own schnitzel" option, which lets you choose the meat and preparation

Winslow Homer display at MFA Boston
For the first time in nearly 50 years, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA) is celebrating New England painter Winslow Homer with a limited-time art exhibition showcasing the artist's seldom-seen watercolors.
Called " Of Light and Air: Winslow Homer in Watercolor ‚" the exhibition explores Homer's life, from his youthful beginnings to his final works in old age.
Museum visitors may recognize works by Homer, such as his watercolor "The Blue Boat" and the oil painting "The Fog Warning."

Museum of Illusions
Tucked into a double-decker row of shops on the eastern end of Faneuil Hall, the Museum of Illusions is a cluster of interactive exhibits that are designed to mess with your mind.
Unlike most museums, you can actually touch everything. Some activities include walking into a board of pins to make your outline, sitting in an illusion chair and going behind a wall to poke your head out of a hole to make it look like you're disembodied.
The Museum of Illusions is located at 200 State St #2 in Boston.

Tree Lighting with Santa Claus
On Friday, Nov. 14 at 5 p.m., the annual tree lighting event at Yankee Candle Village in South Deerfield will kick off.
There will be live music from T.J. & The Peepers, photo ops with holiday characters, sweet treats and more. Santa will light the big tree at 6 p.m.

Go skiing
The New England area has proved to be a top spot for skiing. And if you want to take a weekend trip for a fun activity, heading north to Maine could be the spot.
That was the big takeaway from SKI Magazine's recent ranking of the top 20 ski resorts in the East . Of the 20 resorts featured, 15 were in New England.
That includes the two ski resorts at the top of the list — No. 1 was Saddleback Mountain in Maine; No. 2 was Sugarloaf Mountain, also in Maine.
