Michelin Says These 11 Caribbean Islands Have the Best Hotels Right Now
When Michelinputs its name on something, it usually means one thing: this is as good as it gets. And now, the guide has turned its attention to the Caribbean , spotlighting 11 islandsthat are home to the region's most exceptional hotels—places that Michelin says define top-tier island hotel travel right now.
To arrive at this short list, Michelin inspectors evaluated dozens of properties across the region, first awarding Keysto 50 hotels on 21 Caribbean islands. From there, a smaller group earned Two Keys or more, a distinction reserved for hotels that truly stand out—not just for how they look, but for how they feel to stay in. Inspectors consider excellence in architecture and interior design, the quality and consistency of service, overall character, value for the price and how meaningfully a hotel contributes to its surroundings.
The final list highlights 11 standout properties across the Caribbean that Michelin says represent the very best of island hospitality right now—from overwater villas and cliffside sanctuaries to refined boutique hotels and old-school glamour resorts that feel like they've been perfecting the art of escape for decades.
In Anguilla, three hotels made the cut, including Malliouhana Resort Anguilla, perched high above Meads Bay, Cap Juluca, A Belmond Hotel, known for its show-stopping stretch of Maundays Bayand Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla, which balances high design with family-friendly ease across two beaches.

St. Barthélemyclaims the Caribbean's only Three-Key hotel: Cheval Blanc St. Barth Isle de France, a polished and chic French hideaway set right on Flamands Beach. Nearby, Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barthspreads across a private peninsula, while Le Barthélemy Hotel & Spapairs understated elegance with sustainability touches.
In the Dominican Republic, two very different visions of luxury earned recognition: Eden Roc Cap Cana, a lively, amenity-rich favorite with private pools and golf access, and Amanera, where modernist casitas cling to cliffs above an almost empty beach.

Antiguaand Barbuda's standouts couldn't feel more distinct. Hermitage Bayis serene and sustainability-minded, while Jumby Bay Islanddelivers barefoot luxury on a car-free island reached by boat.
Rounding out the list are singular properties scattered across the region: among them the colorful, adults-only Boardwalk Boutique Hotel Aruba; rainforest-wrapped Secret Bay; family-run Calabash Hotel; cliff-hugging The Caves; garden-filled Golden Rock Inn; dramatic Jade Mountain; and the private-island favorite Lovango Resort and Beach Club.
Together, they paint a picture of where Caribbean hospitality is headed: smaller scale, stronger sense of place and experiences that stay with you long after checkout.
