The newest addition to Royal Caribbean's cruise ship fleet has just arrived at Port Canaveral for its first-ever passenger sailing. The Star of the Seas is now one of the largest cruise ships on the water, along with its fan-favorite sister ship, Icon of the Seas .
The boat boasts endless activities, claiming the perfect balance of "thrills, chill and wows." With the largest water park at sea—a category 6 park complete with six record-breaking slides—seven pools, ten whirlpools, over 40 dining options and Broadway-level entertainment, the ship claims to offer "The World's Best Family Vacation." From the minute we stepped on the ship (less than an hour ago!), we could see why they say that.
For those looking for activity, the ship also has basketball, pickleball and soccer courts, along with a fitness center that offers personal trainers and group classes. Wanting to relax instead? Take your pick of one of the many relaxing pools or lounging areas. Or, head to the Vitality Spa, which offers complimentary and for-purchase activities all day long—from skin tightening services and complimentary hair thickening and teeth whitening consultations to seminars on improving posture and IV infusion therapy.
In need of some entertainment (as if there hasn't already been enough mentioned to occupy you for days!)? Take part in the on board escape room, head to a showing of "the Broadway "Back to the Future: The Musical," sit through a comedy show, play in a Texas hold'em or blackjack tournament, get on stage for afternoon karaoke or dance to any of the many live music options.

This boat is new, and you can certainly tell. The entire boat literally shines—we noticed it as soon as our bus pulled up to the port. Based on our first impression, we can't wait to see what the next few days have in store, especially the port stop at Royal Caribbean's private island in the Bahamas, Perfect Day at CocoCay.
