Sargento Launches Three Spicy Cheese Varieties to Suit Every Heat Preference

Sargento is launching a new line of hot and spicy sliced cheeses, including Mango Habanero Monterey Jack, Smoky Hot Colby-Jack, and Carolina Reaper Monterey Jack, to meet the demand of consumers who enjoy spicy flavors.
The brand is also introducing a new snack mix called Sargento Balanced Breaks Cheese + Crunch Mix, which offers between seven to eight grams of protein per pack and comes in three flavor varieties: Buffalo Ranch, Sour Cream & Chive, and Smoky & Sweet BBQ.
Sargento's General Manager of Consumer Products, Erin Price, stated that consumers are seeking food and snacks to add excitement and adventure to their mealtime, prompting the launch of the new spicy cheese and snack mix products.

Sargento is giving the people what they want with a new line of sliced cheese that brings the heat, no matter your spice tolerance.

According to the brand, 75% of consumers say they love hot and spicy flavors, but because there are gaps in heat choices, Sargento is rolling out three different varieties of hot and spicy sliced cheese to meet their customers’ needs:

Mango Habanero Monterey Jack Sliced Cheese, with a 2 out of 5 level of heat, has a vibrant, tropical flavor with jalapeño, habanero, and a touch of Carolina Reaper peppers.
Smoky Hot Colby-Jack Sliced Cheese dials it up a notch at a 3 out of 5 level of heat, perfect for complementing hearty dishes.
Carolina Reaper Monterey Jack Sliced Cheese is the spiciest of the bunch, with a 4 out of 5 level heat and serious intensity.

“Consumers are looking for food and snacks to spice up their day and add a little adventure to mealtime,” said Erin Price, Sargento General Manager of Consumer Products, in a statement shared with Parade .

In addition to the spicy new cheese launch, Sargento is also rolling out a first-of-its-kind snack mix, Sargento Balanced Breaks Cheese + Crunch Mix.

The convenient, portion-controlled packs offer between seven to eight grams of protein and come in three different flavor varieties:

Monterey Jack Cheese, Buffalo Ranch Snack Mix, which pairs Monterey Jack cheese with pretzels, roasted cashews , corn sticks, toasted bread chips, and pita chips.
Medium Cheddar Cheese, Naturally Flavored Sour Cream & Chive Snack Mix has pretzels, roasted almonds, toasted bread chips, rye chips, and breadsticks for a savory complement to cheddar cheese .
Colby-Jack Cheese, Smoky & Sweet BBQ Snack Mix comes with pretzels, roasted cashews, toasted bread chips, corn sticks, and corn kernels for a perfect pairing with Colby-Jack cheese.
