Half of the fun of shopping at Trader Joe’s is stumbling upon new and inventive food items, but if you’re looking for a particular brand name, you’re out of luck as the California-based grocery chain famously sells its own products in stores.
While you won’t be able to purchase your favorite flavor of Doritos , if you’re craving a salty snack, you could get your hands on the viral Carolina Gold BBQ potato chips instead. And if you have a sweet tooth, treats abound at the retailer, from the new strawberries and cream cloud cake to the ever-popular horchata ice cream .
The chain is also known for creating its own versions of popular food items, and it seems like Trader Joe’s is finally jumping on the crustless sandwich bandwagon.
Several creators on TikTok who work at Trader Joe’s have taken to the platform to share that they have tried the new Trader Joe’s Crustless Peanut Butter & Strawberry Jam Sandwiches, with one user, Liz, sharing that it “is not going to be available for a few weeks,” before revealing that an 8.89-ounce box of the Uncrustables dupe will retail for $3.79.

Another creator, who could be seen wearing a Trader Joe’s crew member sweatshirt and a name tag from the grocery chain in a video, gave a rave review, telling commenters that they were “really good.”
Trader Joe’s confirmed to Parade that the crustless Peanut Butter & Strawberry Jam Sandwiches will be introduced in stores, but a representative for the brand said they “do not yet have a timeline for availability.”
Per the box that Liz held up to the screen, the sandwiches are vegan and come in a box of four, with each sandwich coming in at 200 calories, with 25 grams of carbohydrates and 8 grams of sugar, including 6 grams of added sugar. The sandwiches, which contain both wheat and peanut, are made up of three ingredients: bread, peanut butter, and strawberry jam.
Commenters quickly shared that they “need these,” enthusiastically proclaiming that they “can’t wait!” and teasing, “oh no this is going to be dangerous.”
While most comments were enthusiastic, several griped that the item isn’t gluten-free or peanut-free, with more sharing, “Now we need grape,” stating, “I wish these were grape jelly instead, but I’ll def still try them,” and asking, “Why only 4? There should be 5 for the school week!”
One commenter noted that they had already found the frozen sandwiches at their local Trader Joe’s in Los Angeles, and another said that they had already been able to buy them, but didn’t specify which store or region was selling them, or if the reason they were able to get early access was as an employee.
