Dolly Parton's Favorite Taco Bell Order Is Surprisingly Relatable
- Dolly Parton and her late husband Carl Dean shared a love for Taco Bell, making it a staple in their date nights.
Like many people, we were saddened to hear about the passing of Carl Dean , husband of Dolly Parton . Carl and Dolly's romance and marriage of nearly 60 years was rarely on public display but it sure was an enduring part of Dolly's persona. Taco Bell was apparently part of their love.
The couple first met at a laundromat in Nashville on Dolly Parton' s very first day in town. While they had very humble beginnings, fame and fortune would soon allow them to afford anything they wanted. Still, the couple kept their romance alive through measures that stayed true to their love language: good, simple food.

For date nights, Carl and Dolly made it a tradition to get into their car, drive around and get their favorite fast food. "We love to just get out in that little camper of ours and drive through restaurants," she told Business Insider in 2022. "I love to get a good burger and french fries on the highway like everybody else, and we go get hot doughnuts now and then. It depends on what we're in the mood for. Whether it's tacos or burgers or whatever, we can go get it!"
Their tacos would never not come from fast food chain Taco Bell , where Dolly says she always gets her go-to order: Taco Supreme, Mexican Pizza, rice and beans, and mild hot sauce.

What Is Dolly Parton's Taco Bell Order?
Though she says she's an equal opportunity Taco Bell lover, Dolly's order starts with a Taco Supreme on a soft shell for logistical reasons. Hard shell tacos "fall apart so bad, especially if you're riding around. So I always get a Taco Supreme , with the sour cream and all that, in the soft shell. I love that," Dolly told Business Insider .
The Mexican Pizza has crispy flour shells, pizza sauce, beans, seasoned beef, tomatoes, and a three cheese blend. Dolly is not only a regular customer who orders Mexican Pizza but in 2022, she used her voice to help bring the item back onto the Taco Bell menu .

To round out the meal, Dolly says she orders a side of rice and beans and likes mild hot sauce. "I don't like to get it too hot and ruin everything."
