KFC’s ‘Bold’ New Collab Sounds Like a Joke—But It’s Not

KFC 's newest release may not be available on menus in-store, but we can assure you it's real.

In a partnership we're sure no one saw coming, KFC teamed up with oral care company Hismile to create a "finger-lickin-good" combo that's unlike anything fans have seen before.

Inspired by the gimmick that is April Fools' Day and the iconic flavors of KFC's chicken and its famous 11 herbs and spices, the two companies are launching a fried chicken-flavored toothpaste and a matching electric toothbrush.

While the products "started as an April Fools' joke," Hismile's marketing team pushed to create them, and well, the rest is history.

"We love pushing boundaries, and what better way to do that than by bringing KFC's legendary flavors into an everyday essential?" said Hismile marketing manager Koban Jonesin a statement. "This collab is bold, unexpected, and seriously fun."

While some haters may say it's "fake," Parade editors were among the first to try the fried chicken-flavored toothpaste.

Speaking honestly, Hismile really nailed the famous KFC flavor that it's almost unnerving–and definitely not for everyone (sorry). While 11 herbs and spices normally wouldn't make the cut for oral care, we can attest that the toothpaste does make teeth feel cleaner and polished, which some would certainly consider a win.
