Lay's Fans Plead with Brand to Keep New Flavor on Shelves: 'Hope These are Staying!'
- Lay's is releasing three new flavors of Poppables chips: Sweet Potato, Veggie, and Original, all flavored with real sea salt.
This year is already shaping up to be another one for the books in terms of fan-favorite snack releases. And while we've been obsessing lately over the prospect of new arrivals from all of our favorite brands, it appears there is no slowing down planned for the foreseeable future.
From Ritz crackers to retired football stars , there is a lot to get excited about this year in terms of snackable creations. Even our favorite bulk-retailer can't help but get in on the fun. But there's one snack brand, lest we forget about, who has a trifecta of new flavors on the horizon that we just can't wait to get our hands on: Lay's.

In a post shared to Instagram , Lay's took to its massive following to announce three new flavors coming from one of the brands most crispy releases: Poppables. And in true online fashion, fans were ecstatic over the news.
"Same fun shape, now with a new look... and flavor," @lays wrote in their post. "Find our new bags and NEW Lay's Sweet Potato Poppables Sea Salt at a store near you."
That's right, those who already fancy the airy and crunchy texture of Lay's Poppables can now experience their favorite chips in all-new packaging and a new flavor. The revamp includes the brand new Sweet Potato flavor, along with Veggie and Original, each of which are flavored with real sea-salt and guaranteed to pop with every single bite. The bags on display in Lay's Instagram post are of the 5-ounce variety, however, we would bet money that everybody (including ourselves) will be hoping for larger, family-sized options as well.
"Yum! Hope these are staying," one commenter wrote regarding each new flavor. "Can already tell the crunch goes crazy," @subway chimed in.
When it comes to bite-sized crispy potato snacks of any kind, it's hard to compete with Lay's Poppables. We are excited to try the new Sweet Potato flavor for ourselves—which is now available nationwide—however, we'd be happy to get our hands on any flavor available for that matter. And while fans were quick to join in the discussion by way of the comments section under Lay's post, others were already getting busy coming up with future flavor combinations in hopes of the chip-giant taking notice:
"Lay's, here me out... Put the Honey BBQ on the new sweet potato Poppables," one fan wrote. To which we ask, why stop there? If you could put any dream Lay's pairing together, what would it be?
