Monster's 2 New High-Caffeine Energy Drinks Finally Hit Shelves
Two all-new Monster Energy Drink flavors have finally been spotted on shelves, and they've already garnered a growing fan base for their "killer flavor and killer strength."
Monster's new Killer Brew is a subline of its popular Java series, just with way more caffeine. The new variety was expected to debut sometime in early 2025, and those predictions weren't off by much, as rollouts are clearly underway.
Monster's Killer Brew variety includes two flavors, Mean Bean and Loca Moca. Killer Brew Mean Bean is described as a creamy blend featuring an "indulgent vanilla coffee forward flavor." Meanwhile, Loca Moca is a creamy coffee-flavored beverage with a bold mocha flavor.
Both flavors pack "a 300mg punch of caffeine derived from both coffee and the Monster energy blend you know and love." That said, experts warn that most adults should limit their caffeine intake to 400mg per day, so perhaps it's best stop after one.

Aside from the extra jolt from the high caffeine, fans overall seem to approve of the new additions, with one energy drink connoisseur so excited to see the new lineup at their local Kroger grocery store that they snapped a photo and shared it on Reddit to celebrate.
"Mmmmm the Java monsters are the only kinda monsters I like," a second admitted before sharing their excitement over the new release. "I can fw this."
"Yum," someone else shared before several others chimed in to say "this looks delectable" and that they "must try it."
Fans' only obvious gripe is the lack of a zero-sugar or low-sugar option. "I wish they'd make a diet version of their loca moca," one Reddit user lamented.
Social media users also had a separate thread going six months ago, gushing over the at-the-time unreleased product, praising what they suggested was a long-overdue " rebrand " of an underrated Monster variety: its Java Triple Shot. However, whether this represents a new line replacing the old one or a simple rebrand is currently unclear, as the original Java Triple Shot flavors are still listed on the official retail website as current product offerings and the in-store displays advertise the Killer Brew as "new." That said, comparing the ingredient labels, the two are very similar.
So far, the new energy drinks have been found not only at Kroger stores but also at select Albertsons , Safeway , ShopRite , Jewel-Osco , Sunset Foods , Dillons , Piggly Wiggly , Shaw's and Ralphs locations. Killer Brew flavors are also available to purchase online through Walmart and Amazon . They are expected to hit shelves at retailers that normally stock the brand in the coming weeks if they haven't already.
Along with Killer Brew, Monster fans have also had the pleasure of spotting two other new flavors on shelves recently: Viking Berry Juice and Zero Sugar Ultra Blue Hawaiian .
It's not just Monster energizing the market with new flavors; this spring has also seen the release of a highly anticipated Bang Energy drink collaboration , a new Alani Nu and a seasonal Red Bull flavor , as well as several ready-to-drink innovations from Starbucks and the Target rollout of Gorgie .
