2025 Easthampton election results: Mayor, city council, school committee

An open mayor's race topped the ballot in Easthampton, where ranked choice voting is used to determine the winners of municipal elections.

But the one now holding the position emerged victorious.

Candidates Lindsi Sekula, Jason "JT" Tirrell and Salem Derby were on the ballot for mayor.

Former Mayor Nicole LaChapelle left office in July and Salem Derby, previously the president of Easthampton's City Council, has been acting as interim mayor since that time.

Derby emerged victorious on election night, according to Western Mass News .

Meanwhile, nine candidates were running for six seats on the school committee and five candidates faced off for four at-large city council seats.

For at-large city councilor, candidates Koni Denham, Jonathan Schmidt, Nathan Markee, and Kiam Jamrog-Mcquaid won, according to Western Mass News.

Linda Sue Markee, Megan Harvey, Laura Scott, Sam Hunter, Bonnie Atkins, And Eric Guyette were elected to the school committee, Western Mass News reported.
