Active scene forms around Worcester home as police respond to barricaded suspect call

A highly active scene formed on West Boylston Street in Worcester Wednesday afternoon as police responded to a report of a suspect who had barricaded themselves inside a home, according to police.

Officers responded to 95 West Boylston St. shortly after 12:40 p.m., a Worcester police spokesperson said. It is unclear if there is anyone besides the suspect inside the home.

The spokesperson would not say whether or not the suspect was believed to have a weapon. No further information has been released, but the spokesperson said more details would be shared later after the situation resolves.
