Arrest warrant issued for Mass. double fatal shooting suspect on the run
A homicide arrest warrant was issued for a man who faces charges in connection with a fatal double shooting that killed two teenagers in a Brockton parking lot in March , while two accomplices were charged in court, Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz's office said Wednesday.
Davinci Leonard , 22, faces two counts of first-degree murder and four gun charges in connection with the shooting deaths of 15-year-old Brockton resident Tymari Albertson and 18-year-old New Bedford resident Cevannah Alvarez at Westgate Mall on March 22.
As investigators continue to search for Leonard, the U.S. Marshals Service is offering a $5,000 reward for any information that will lead to his location, Cruz's office said in a statement.
Two other men arrested in connection with the shooting were arraigned in Plymouth Superior Court on Wednesday, Cruz's office said. Quincy resident David Mosley-Lott , 32, was charged with one count each of accessory after the fact and intimidation of a witness. Jaylen Speed, 24, of Dorchester, was charged with accessory after the fact.
A judge held both men on $50,000 bail and ordered them to wear a location-monitoring bracelet, stay in their respective homes and stay away from witnesses. Speed's next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 13, with Mosley-Lott's scheduled for Aug. 14.
Leonard, Mosley-Lott and Speed were all indicted late in June.
Brockton police received a 911 call about a shooting outside the Chipotle at Westgate Mall shortly after 7 p.m. on March 22, the district attorney's office said previously. At the scene, they found Albertson with two gunshot wounds and Alvarez with one.
Mosely-Lott is suspected of letting Leonard sleep at his home after the shooting and ordering a woman to dispose of her cell phone after police contacted her about the incident, Cruz's office previously said.
Preliminary findings by Brockton police and Massachusetts State Police investigators indicate Leonard as the shooter, Cruz's office said Wednesday.
