Man dies after falling from tree in Mass.

A 40-year-old man died Monday evening in Erving after he fell from a tree, according to the Northwestern District Attorney's office.

Police went to the area of French King Highway in Erving around 6:45 p.m. Monday night. There, they found a man lying near the base of a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the district attorney's office said in a statement.

The man's death remains under investigation. No foul play is suspected, according to the statement.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of the man's death.
