Tender steak nuggets debut nationwide at major fast food chain for a limited time

Arby's is debuting the first-of-its-kind product: steak nuggets.

The hand-cut bite sized pieces of tender, juicy steak are seasoned with garlic and pepper for a bold, smoky flavor that can be enjoyed with a fork or just with fingers, the chain wrote in a statement .

"Who doesn't love tender and savory steak? But, until now, it's been inconvenient to eat, particularly on the go," Chief Marketing Officer at Arby's Jeff Baker wrote in the press release. "That's why we created this new innovative product. Two of America's favorite foods – nuggets and steak – combined to create Arby's Steak Nuggets."

There are three ways to enjoy the nuggets:

• The Steak Nuggets entrée which comes in a five or nine count, served with a fork and hickory barbecue sauce

• The Steak Nugget Sandwich which includes the nuggets with havarti cheese, crispy onions, tangy pickles and mayonnaise on a toasted bun

• The Steak Nugget Bowl which features the nuggets on top of creamy white cheddar mac and cheese with a sprinkling of crispy onions

MassLive's food reviewer Nick O'Malley writes : "The nuggets are decent. It's nothing flashy, but it is a bucket of steak that you can quickly grab for a straight hit of protein that isn't fried like chicken nuggets are."

Customers nationwide can enjoy the new product for a limited time.
