Another “very pleasant” day of weather is on tap for Massachusetts on Thursday, with slightly below normal temperatures in the morning giving way to sunshine and a few clouds by the afternoon.

Temperatures should reach the low 80s and high 70s by the afternoon, with a southerly wind keeping communities along the shoreline closer to the mid-70s.

The next chance for precipitation comes overnight into early Friday morning, with scattered showers possible. The most likely areas to see rain are Western Massachusetts and northeast Connecticut. There is a low likelihood of thunderstorms, National Weather Service forecasters wrote.

After the overnight showers, Friday is shaping up to be largely dry.

Temperatures should reach the low to mid-80s, with the South Coast slightly cooler. Dew points will be “noticeably higher” than the rest of the week, making it feel more humid, forecasters said.

Saturday should start dry, but thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon and evening.

Temperatures will feel like summer on Saturday, with highs climbing into the 80s and dewpoints making it feel 2 to 4 degrees warmer than that.

But with a cold front approaching Sunday, thunderstorms are possible beginning in the late afternoon to early evening.

“This is something to monitor given numerous outdoor events Saturday afternoon and evening,” forecasters wrote.

There is a chance for more rain on Sunday, most likely on Cape Cod and the islands. Temperatures will be cooler, in the low 70s and high 60s.

Dry, fall-like conditions are on tap for Monday, with overnight lows falling to the low 50s and upper 40s.
