The level of player that CRSA creates is unparalleled in Iowa. There are several reasons for this, primary being our coaching staff, quality of coaching sessions, quantity of coaching sessions and game coverage. Our professional coaches are dedicated and passionate about soccer in Eastern Iowa.
CRSA strongly believes that one of the best ways to influence Iowa's soccer future is through top level coaching. Providing players exposure to excellent professional coaching is one of the best ways to help soccer players develop; the depth of the coaching staff is unquestionable.
• CRSA has 3 full-time coaches with 6 highly experienced part-time coaches
• 6 coaches on our staff have USSF/NSCAA National Licensing
• 3 coaches on our staff have professional playing experience outside the US
• 4 coaches on our staff have international playing experience
• 8 coaches on our staff have college degrees (although often overlooked, we understand our responsibility to build good people first, great soccer players second – we understand the value of education)
• 2 of our coaches have been Olympic Development Program (ODP) coaches and regional staff coach
• 2 specific goalkeeping coaches
Alen Kudumovic, Director of Coaching:
Alen holds the USSF 'B' license. He learned the game under direction of professional coaches at FC Sarajevo, FC Bosnia, and the Bosnian Indoor National League. He later played with the Des Moines Menace and Mount Mercy University while earning a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. Alen earned Conference Player of the Year, First Team All-Region, All-American honors, and Mount Mercy 2011 Hall of Fame.He coached Iowa City High School team where he was honored twice as Coach of the Year in the Mississippi Valley Conference. Alen enriches the CRSA culture and tradition with unique experience and passion for the game.
Drago Ceranic:
Drago is originally from Belgrade, Serbia where he played from youth to senior ranks for over 16 years. Drago earned a Bachelor's degree while playing for Mount Mercy University where he started all four years, was All-Conference selection all four years, and MVP in 2006. For the past four summers he played for the Vermont Voltage PDL team.Drago has spent time coaching in Vermont, Xavier High School and Linn-Mar High School.
He holds the UEFA 'B' license.
Ash Brannan:
Ash holds the USSF 'D' License, teaches eight grade math at Taft Middle School and was the heads girl's soccer coach at Jefferson High School for over 10 years. Ash works with the developing CRSA members using his enthusiasm and passion to instill a love for the game. They focus on ball skills, sportmanship, and teamwork.Ash holds a Master's in Educational Leadership and lives in Cedar Rapids with his wife and two children.
Jason Witt:
As a coach in Eastern Iowa for ten years Jason has a great appreciation for the soccer community and his role within it. Teaching children the game he loves is very rewarding, and he have seen how the game can change children's lives for this is where (for some) they experience success for the first time.
Jason holds the USSF 'B' license and have studied under UEFA 'A' Licensed coaches. He holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of Iowa.

Rocki Shepard:
Rocki played collegiate tennis at the University of Nebraska. She played club soccer and began coaching in the Cedar Rapids after graduating college.
She has coached at Five Seasons Soccer Club , Marion Soccer Club, Regis middle school and Xavier high school.
She was an active club member in CRSA for over 7 years.
She holds a National E license.
She has 4 grown children and 2 grand children.
Rocki has over 30 years of coaching experience in the Cedar Rapids metro area.
Ann Legree:
Ann is originally from Minnesota where she played for a few competitive clubs around the Twin Cities for 14 years. She then played for Mount Mercy College while completing her Bachelor's degree in biology. She has 6 years of experience coaching with club soccer in the Cedar Rapids area, as well as Xavier High School.
She loves to instill confidence, respect, unity and tenacity on and off the field. Ann holds a USSF F license and will earn her E license this year.
Nenad Simovic:
Coach Nenad has been playing soccer for over 16 years and has played for several Serbian teams, like the very popular Red Star Belgrade. Nenad is currently the goalkeeper coach for Mount Mercy University where he acquired his second degree in Business Marketing.
Nenad was nominated for Honorable Mention for the last two years and was the MVP in 2008.Nenad holds Iowa Coaching Authorization certificate and is a certified referee for High Schools.
