    Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, March 30, 2017 – The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issue Patent No. 9,598,795 protecting Despatch Split-Zone™ Oxidation technology. This patent applies to the split zone control which provides two discrete thermal profiles for the upper and lower half of the chamber.

    Customer Tests Conclude that the Despatch Split-Zone™ Oxidation Oven Reduces Cycle Times More Than Expected

    Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, August 9, 2016 – Initial customer evaluation of the Despatch Split-Zone™ Oxidation Oven has just been completed. Tests were conducted using premium grade fiber running through a single oven that simulated multiple zones. The baseline to achieve the target density was 5 zones with a dwell time of 67.3 minutes. Using the Split-Zone the target density was achieved in just two zones with a dwell time of 44 minutes, a reduction in cycle time of nearly 35%.

    Orders for Despatch Walk-in Ovens Doubled Due to New Models and Faster Delivery

    Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, August 2, 2016 – Despatch has recently seen a major increase in orders of its walk-in line of ovens. Sales in July were double the number sold last year and are expected to remain strong for the rest of the year. Despatch recently expanded its line of walk-in ovens with a set of new models that have a large capacity of 476 and 952 cubic feet respectively. These ovens are shipped with unitized sections assembled and wired to minimize installation time. Customers have also responded to shorter lead times which have been brought down to just six weeks.

    Next-Generation Split-Zone Oxidation Oven Promises to Lower the Cost of Carbon Fiber Production

    Ammunition manufacturer targets Despatch Industries for impact-sensitive primer drying process

    Minneapolis, Minn., U.S.A. May 27, 2015 – During manufacture, 22 caliber rimfire cases are filled with an impact-sensitive primer in a wet state so that the primer is stable. This primer then needs to be dried so it will detonate when the gun is fired. A continuous oven with two conveyors that carry pallets containing 300 casings every 8 seconds was requested.

    Critical Uniformity Requirement for Contact Lens Curing Greatly Surpassed with Despatch Oven

    Minneapolis, Minn., U.S.A. January 6, 2015 – To manufacture contact lenses, a monomer resin called “hydrogel” is injected into molds and heat-cured in an oven. The process polymerizes the hydrogel to produce hard, slightly flexible lenses. The lenses are then removed from the mold and transferred to a downstream hydration process.
