Why is learning English so hard for us Japanese?

Learning English can be challenging for Japanese speakers due to several reasons:

1. Different Language Families: Japanese and English belong to different language families, making their grammar, syntax, and phonetics quite distinct.

2. Writing Systems: English uses an alphabet, while Japanese uses a combination of kanji and kana, which are very different systems.

3. Phonetic Differences: Sounds in English, like "l" and "r", don't exist in Japanese, making pronunciation difficult.

4. Cultural Context: Language learning is also influenced by cultural contexts and communication styles, which are different in Japan and English-speaking countries.

5. Lack of Immersive Environment: In Japan, opportunities to practice English in everyday situations might be limited compared to an English-speaking country.

Despite these challenges, with consistent practice and exposure, many Japanese speakers become proficient in English.

Why does our speaking skill stuck suddenly in dairy learning?

Your speaking skills might feel stuck during daily learning due to several reasons:

1. Plateau Effect: It's common to hit a plateau after initial rapid progress. This is a natural part of learning.
2. Lack of Practice: If you're not practicing speaking regularly, your skills may stagnate.
3. Complexity Increase: As you advance, you encounter more complex language concepts, which can slow apparent progress.
4. Confidence Issues: Feeling self-conscious or afraid of making mistakes can hinder speaking fluently.
5. Limited Vocabulary/Expressions: Not knowing enough varied vocabulary or phrases can make you feel stuck.
6. Monotonous Learning Routine: Repeating the same type of practice without new challenges or contexts can limit growth.

To overcome this, vary your learning methods, seek new challenges, and practice speaking in diverse situations. Remember, progress in language learning often happens in waves, not in a straight line.

Why are Japanese people thinking that learning languages too difficult?

Japanese people may find learning languages challenging due to several factors:

1 Different Linguistic Structure: Japanese has a very different grammatical structure from languages like English or Chinese, making it harder to grasp new grammar rules and sentence structures.

2 Limited Exposure: In Japan, opportunities for immersive language practice with native speakers can be limited, slowing down the learning process.

3 Pronunciation and Phonetics: Japanese phonetics are quite different from those in many Western languages, making pronunciation a significant hurdle.

4 Character-Based Writing Systems: For languages with different writing systems, like English or Chinese, learning a new set of characters or alphabets can be daunting.

5 Cultural Differences: The cultural nuances embedded in language can be challenging to understand and incorporate, especially for idiomatic expressions.

6 Education System: Traditional language education in Japan often focuses on reading and writing, with less emphasis on speaking and listening skills, which are crucial for fluency.

7 Perfectionism: A cultural emphasis on not making mistakes can make some learners hesitant to practice speaking, which is essential for improvement.

8 Limited Need in Daily Life: Since most people in Japan communicate in Japanese in their daily lives, there might be less motivation or perceived need to learn another language.

Understanding these challenges can help in finding effective ways to learn a new language. Tailored learning approaches, practical usage, and exposure to different cultures can alleviate some of these difficulties.

And I prefer the communication by ’’Face to Face'' because you can obtain much information from other body behavior.
