Orchestra
The Orchestras of Annandale have been serving the Annandale community for over 50 years and currently serve more than 140 students, including students with significant and severe disabilities. The program is home to the FCPS Parent Orchestra, a nationally recognized initiative that teaches caregivers how to play their child’s instrument from day one, helping them become partners in the learning process while strengthening school–home connections.
These orchestras offer an experience unlike any other in Northern Virginia. Students are not only actively engaged in music-making, leadership development, and critical thinking, but making a lasting impact on the Annandale community.
Orchestra classes are open to all levels of musicians, from beginners to advanced players. Students explore music history, theory, and performance in a rigorous and inclusive environment that celebrates growth, collaboration, and belonging.
Orchestra students at Annandale High School receive a well-rounded music education and take great pride in being part of a program that reflects the diversity, resilience, and creativity of their school and community.
