Cherry Run Elementary school is a recipient of the Purple Star Award for their dedication in supporting military connected students.

Registration is currently open for FCPS summer camps, including Tech Adventure Camp for current grade K-5 students, Elementary Institute for the Arts (EIFTA) for grades K-5, Institute for the Arts (IFTA) and Production Camp for current grade 6-11 students, and Career and Technical Education Summer Academy for Grades 6-11.
