2025-2026 SIIP At-a-Glance

ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS

Outcomes

Targeted Measurable Outcome: By the end of the 2025-26 school year, the SOL pass rate for students with disabilities (SWD) will increase 4% from 71% to 75%

Universal Measurable Outcome: By the end of the 2025-26 school year, 60% of students will demonstrate expected screener within-year growth in reading (iReady).

Strategies

Strategy 1: Utilize routines and explicit instruction to intensify phonics and word study instruction in alignment with the core curriculum (ex. Lexia, HMH resources, PPG).

Strategy 2: Increase the use of data to plan tier 3 instruction and monitor progress during intervention to ensure that students master foundational skills (ex. Reading Plans, MTSS processes, intervention courses, Advisory periods).

SUCCESS IN ALGEBRA BEFORE HIGH SCHOOL

Outcomes

Targeted Measurable Outcome: By the end of the 2025-26 school year, 80% of students with disabilities (SWDs) enrolled in Math 7 HN will receive a final mark of C- or higher.

Universal Measurable Outcome: By the end of the 2025-26 school year, 7th grade MAP Growth data will increase 5% from fall to spring from 56% to 61%.

Strategies

Strategy 1: Improve academic advising processes to encourage students to open enroll in Math 7 Honors or Algebra 1/H.

Strategy 2:Increase school communication about open enrollment to ensure all school staff (including elementary schools) communicate a shared message around open enrollment and mathematics course pathways.

Portrait of a Graduate 

Outcomes

Measurable Outcome: By the end of the 2025-26 school year, all Cooper students will have the opportunity to engage in Portrait of a Graduate Presentations of Learning (POG POLs) as measured by an 85% completion rate.

Strategies

Strategy 1: Select a POG skill from the vertical articulation charts (Resource 1) to focus on with students and explicitly teach the skill; if at an IB school, select an ATL skill from the IB & POG Crosswalk (Resource 2) to focus on with students and explicitly teach the skill.

Strategy 2: School leaders identify a structure (such as DEAR time, Advisory, or connected through specific content area(s)/teachers - Resource 1) to guarantee that each student experiences POG POL (Portrait of a Graduate Presentations of Learning - Resource 2) or, for IB schools, ATL POL (Approaches to Learning Presentation of Learning - Resource 3).
