Welcome to Daniels Run Elementary!
We're excited to welcome our newest Dragons!
We are a school in Fairfax County, Virginia. To join us, first determine if your student falls in the Daniels Run ES boundary by viewing the FCPS boundary locator .
If your student does fall in the Daniels Run ES boundary, please fill out this new student registration form. This form will be submitted to Vicky Vien, our Student Information Assistant, who will be able to assist you with the new student registration process.

Completing the Process at the School
When you are ready to come to the school to complete your registration paperwork, please contact Vicky Vien by email at @email or by phone at 703-279-8402 to set up an appointment. You will be informed of all other documents that you'll need to present at your visit. These include:
- Original Birth Certificate: If a birth certificate is not available, the FCPS affidavit with substantiating documentation is required.
- Affidavit forms may be obtained at the school.
- Proof of Residency
- Own or Rent Property: Parents who reside with their child in a property that they own or rent should provide the FCPS Residency Attestation
ANDone of the following documents:
- Deed of parent's house
- Lease agreement in parent's name signed by rental management office
- A resident manager's letter with company letterhead stating residence of parent
- Residence of Someone Else:Parents who live with the child in a residence of someone else need to provide all of the following:
- FCPS Residency Attestation - The parent of the enrolling student must complete stating his/her residence.
- Three official supporting documents as evidence of non-temporary residence. Acceptable documentation includes:
- Employment - current payroll stub or current employer verification on company letterhead
- Car - Virginia driver’s license, car registration, car insurance policy or bill, or Commonwealth of Virginia identification card
- Utilities - bills from cell phone, Internet, gas, water, electricity, cable, or telephone
- Taxes - current income tax form 1099, withholding form W-2
- Other - bank statements, Department of Family Services, medical bills, Housing Choice Voucher, U.S. government issued document or other county or agency correspondence
- Physical presence of the parent in the residence of the child is required for enrollment in FCPS. If a parent initially enrolls the student, but then leaves Fairfax County, a change in enrollment status may be necessary.
- Experiencing Homelessness: If students are experiencing homelessness, parents or legal guardians may contact the Homeless Liaison Office at 571-423-4332 or refer to Information for Homeless Families for additional contacts and resources. In addition, any neighborhood school can provide enrollment assistance.
- Own or Rent Property: Parents who reside with their child in a property that they own or rent should provide the FCPS Residency Attestation
ANDone of the following documents:
- Parent Photo ID: Only a parent who is named on the child's birth certificate is eligible to enroll the student. The parent will be required to present government-issued photo identification.

Registering a Student Whose Home Language Is Other Than or In Addition to English
Student families wishing to register a student with a home language other than or in addition to English should please contact the FCPS Student Registration Welcome Center. Here professionals may assess your student's English language skill and/or educational level. These assessments can provide valuable information to the local school and support your child's instructional needs.
