Vision Statement
The vision of FCAHS is for all staff members to support adult learners in an environment that is safe, respectful, flexible, cooperative, equitable, technology rich, and engaging. FCAHS will provide the programming, tools, and resources to inspire lifelong learning and to empower our learners’ personal, academic, and social growth.
Mission Statement
The mission of FCAHS is to provide an opportunity for adult learners to identify their learning needs and to accomplish their goal of obtaining a high school credential.
Pathways
Fairfax County Public Schools offers two ways for adults to complete their high school credential through the Fairfax County Adult High School:
- High School Diploma , which involves traditional classes for a high school diploma
- High School Equivalency , which includes Adult Basic Education (ABE) and General Educational Development (GED) preparation classes
Residents of Fairfax County who are 18 years of age and older and who have not earned a GED or high school diploma are eligible for programs at Fairfax County Adult High School.
