Grading and Reporting

  • FHS follows the county quarterly grading policy and the required quarter dates and timelines. The policy allows for any summative assessment given in the current quarter to allot at least two weeks for a retake or redo.
  • Classes must have at least two summative assignments in the quarter
  • Upon giving a summative the grades/scores should be posted within 7 days of the test.
  • The spirit of end of quarter assessment deadlines is to avoid assessments in the last days of a quarter that will result in large adjustments. We want to provide an accurate, ongoing picture of student performance.
  • Teachers planning to give an assessment at the end of the quarter will need to communicate the grade posting plan to students and parents.
