Using FCPS Devices at Home

Important Information for FamiliesWe recognize the importance of balancing screen time and student well-being. Devices should be used for meaningful learning and monitored by families. We encourage you to:

• Set clear expectations for device use at home
• Explore the  Media Balance and Well-Being Toolkit for Families
• Talk with your child about healthy technology habits
• Use  Lightspeed parent tools   to monitor or pause internet access as needed

Device Care Reminders

• Keep food and drinks away from devices
• Do not add or remove stickers
• Transport devices carefully in backpacks
• Help your child keep the device safe and charged
• Return the device when school resumes
