Community Based Instruction at Frost MS
During the 2024–2025 school year, students in the adapted curriculum program at Frost Middle School participated in Community Based Instruction (CBI) trips to gain hands-on life skills in real-world settings. These experiences included behind-the-scenes tours of Trader Joe’s and the local Fire Department, mailing letters at the United States Post Office, and practicing money and social skills while shopping at Safeway, Five Below, and Target. Students also had the opportunity to dine at Tony’s NY Pizza, and Cameron’s Chocolates where they applied budgeting and communication skills in a restaurant setting.
