Academic Advising lessons during Hawk Time will occur on Monday December, 15th and Tuesday, January, 6th, 2026.  

Electives Fair

The in-school date for the electives fair is to-be-determined.  Please review the available virtual curriculum fair videos below in the meantime. When available, updates will be posted here.

Curriculum Night 
  • Thursday, January 8th, 2026 | 6:00 - 8:00 PM
    • 6:00 - 6:30 PM General Sessions (high school in the Middle School Lecture Hall)
    • 6:30 - 8:00 PM - Curriculum Fair (high school in the high school cafeteria)

Academy Open House

FCPS high school academies will hold open houses for interested students beginning in January.

A high school academy is a center within a high school that offers advanced technical and specialized courses to prepare students for postsecondary education and/or career fields. Students enrolling in academy elective courses will be provided with opportunities to participate in a variety of career experiences including shadowing, mentoring, or internships with local businesses.

Rising 12th (current 11th)

  • Tuesday, January 20, 2026, through Friday, February 6, 2026 (through US History classes)

 Rising 11th (current 10th)

  • Monday, February 9, 2026, through Friday, February 20, 2026 (English 10/AP Seminar 10 classes)

Rising 10th (current 9th)

  •  Monday, February 23, 2026, through Friday, March 6, 2026 (Science classes)
Deadline to Change Courses Choices

After a student's initial advising meeting with their counselor, through Friday, March 20, 2026 - Schedule change open through Counselor.
